The scale of pressure on the energy infrastructure has increased significantly over the past few years. As a result, not only the problem of uninterrupted power supply to enterprises and social facilities has become more acute, but also environmental threats have appeared.
The EU authorities are exploring the possibility of reducing energy consumption, so Brussels does not rule out a ban on cryptocurrency mining.
The European Commission published earlier this week a document stating that in the event of aggravation of problems with energy supply, any state of the union has the right to prohibit mining on its territory.
