The Income of Bitcoin Miners Slid by 19% in September

The total income of the miners of BTC amounted to $551 million in September, which represents a 19% fall compared to the previous month.

Transaction fee revenue also declined from $10 million to $9 million. However, their share of the total for the month increased from 1.41% to 1.63%.

The drop in revenue occurred against the backdrop of moderate hashrate growth (+3.6%) and the maintenance of relatively high mining difficulty. The latter indicator fell by 2.14% only at the end of September, demonstrating a negative trend for the first time since July 21.

Combined with the stagnation in the price of Bitcoin, this led to a reduction in the hash price to the levels of July 2020. Back then, digital gold was trading below $10,000.
