Binance Receives License to Operate in New Zealand

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has registered as a financial services provider in New Zealand and opened a local division.

The approval was issued by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment on 10 September. According to the trading platform, residents of the country will now have access to a range of financial services, including spot trading, staking and NFTs.

The company CEO Changpeng Zhao has said:

“We see New Zealand as sort of a trailblazer, so from that perspective, I think there is a lot to learn from our local team here.”

Binance has previously received an in-principle approval to operate in Kazakhstan, as well as a license for a service provider in the digital asset market in Spain.
