Centralized crypto-lending platform Celsius has announced that it has suspended earning interest on its Earn product for new US users.
From April 15, the Custody solution will start working, where deposits from new users will be sent. These funds will not earn interest.
The changes will not affect US user assets deposited before April 15.
“These coins will continue to earn rewards as long as they remain on Earn accounts,” Celsius representatives have clarified.
For residents of other countries, the conditions remain the same.
Celsius competitors Nexo and BlockFi have made similar decisions in the past.
