Elon Musk has proposed to reduce the cost of Twitter Blue subscription and allow users to pay for the premium service in the alternative coin DOGE.
The billionaire has started a thread of tweets by stating the need to give every Twitter Blue follower an “authentication checkmark”. He has also noted that the platform should stop advertising as it “strengthens the power of corporations to dictate the rules.”
A user asked Twitter to introduce a regional pricing policy because the $3 subscription price is too high for some countries .
Musk has recently bought a 9.2% stake in Twitter for $2.89 billion, becoming the largest shareholder of the company and joining its board of directors.
