
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), in partnership with cryptocurrency platform Crypto.com, will start paying out bonuses in Bitcoin to fighters who receive audience awards.
The prize pool for the first such event will be $60,000. It will take place on April 9 as part of UFC 273 in Jacksonville, Florida. Reward will be distributed as follows: 1st place — $30,000; 2nd place — $20,000; and 3rd place — $10,000.
Winners will receive a fixed amount of Bitcoin in dollars. Transactions will be made via Crypto.com.
Early access to the NFT drop, UFC gift cards and a free subscription for three months will be raffled among the voters. The UFC will retain traditional fiat bonuses, including including Best Fight of the Night and Individual Performance.
