Asset manager Moneybox has just raised £35M or around $45.8M in a Series D funding round to help the firm expand and launch crypto services.
According to Moneybox co-founder Ben Stanway, the firm intends to grow its customer base, increase its ETF offering and introduce services for investing in digital assets. He has added:
“We are going to expand into cryptocurrencies through the lens of portfolio diversification, not speculation.”
At the moment the plans are still in an early stage of development. According to the company, first, they will introduce the possibility of investing in Bitcoin and, probably, in “one or a couple” of tokens.
The funding round has included the venture arm of Fidelity Investments, Polar Capital and other existing investors.
