HashKey Obtains a VASP Licence from Irish Central Bank

HashKey Europe, a branch of the crypto exchange HashKey based in Hong Kong, has received an operating license in Ireland.

This was granted by the Central Bank of Ireland and allows the company to offer various crypto-related services in the country. Ireland is one of many countries in the European Union that has begun to attract crypto businesses due to the implementation of comprehensive regulations for the sector.

The company announced that this new license, known as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license, is fully compliant with the EU’s anti-money laundering guidelines.

The company also stated on X (formerly Twitter) that this is a significant milestone in their global expansion strategy. With the VASP license, HashKey Europe can now provide services such as fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-crypto exchanges, as well as custodial wallets, to customers in Ireland.
